The School is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative and committed Outdoor Education (OED) Coordinator to join our School on an ongoing basis, commencing in January 2025.
The OED Coordinator will lead the design and delivery of the School’s Outdoor Education programme and teach Health and Physical Education classes to students across Years 7 to 12.
This position is 1.0 FTE, with time release for course planning.
Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications for teaching Health and Physical Education and/or Outdoor Education
- Previous experience teaching Health and Physical Education for Years 7 to 12
- Previous experience delivering an Outdoor Education Programme
- High pedagogical standards
- Exceptional quality pastoral care
- Enthusiasm in developing young people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate positive relationships with all stakeholders
- Growth mindset and can-do attitude
- Committed and collaborative team player
- The ability to utilise ICT in a classroom environment
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience teaching Year 11 and 12 Health curriculum
- Previous ATAR experience
- Bronze Medallion or similar First Aid/Rescue certificate
