On Friday 15th September, Year 3 students had their Sleepover. We started with a Scitech incursion where the students learnt how to use Edison Robots. The students were challenged to control the robots’ movement and create programmed sounds. This was followed by exploring the Junior Primary Nature Playground. The Year 3 students loved exploring the new facility by playing on the Jeep, swing, slide, pirate fort, digging in the sandpit and making mud pies.
Then they were off to Atlantis for a play and dinner. There was lots of laughter, especially when a ball fight erupted; kids vs the teachers. Back at School, students enjoyed eating popcorn whilst watching Matilda. The students were so tired from an eventful, fun filled day, that they were all asleep by 11:30pm.
It was truly a fantastic event and they were so well behaved and engaged in what was the first sleepover experience for a number of students.
