In Term 3, the Year 11 Outdoor Education General students completed a 5 week surfing unit at Claytons Beach. The weather during most lessons was cold, windy and not to mention the huge swells, making it difficult conditions for beginner surfers. However, each lesson the students embraced the cold, wind and rain and threw themselves into the freezing water in attempt to catch some waves.
To wrap up the unit, the class finished off with a day trip to Back Beach, Lancelin on Wednesday 10th October. What a day this was! Blue skies, 1.5m swell and absolutely perfect conditions! It was awesome to see all the students having a go, standing up and some even making it out to the back and catching some green waves!
