On Friday 31st January the Year 11 cohort participated enthusiastically in fantastic variety of workshops and activities led by subject experts from Edith Cowan University, Rhythm Connect and PMACS staff. These included ‘STEM Skills and Emotional Intelligence’, ‘Key Skills for the Future – Emerging Trends in Technology based careers’, ‘Memory Training’, ‘Future Students Engagement’ and ‘Executive Functioning Skills’. The afternoon sessions saw all students participating in rhythmic African Drumming in the glorious sunshine by the lake at the ECU Joondalup Campus. A spectacular sight. The day concluded with words of advice and guidance from PMACS Alumni Josh Venters followed by the closing address of Acting Head of Year 11 Mark Shotter. Our students conducted themselves impeccably and left feeling motivated, engaged and focussed on the challenges 2020 will bring.
We value our close relationship with ECU and I wish to thank our Chair of Council, Dr Michelle Ellis and Bobbie-Jo Haworth for delivering and organising informative and engaging workshops for our students to participate in.
