The second of the Schools' annual “Good Mental Health through Positive Behaviours” promotional Mental Health and Wellbeing days took place last Friday 23rd of June for the Middle and Senior Schools. Stress Down Day (a LIFELINE Initiative to remind us that it is still important to take a break and have some fun) was embraced throughout the school where parents and outside guests were invited to join staff in offering students activities that provided them with the opportunity to either ‘Stress Down’ or have fun and, in most cases, both.
Activities this year included Metafit (presented by a School parent), Dance Fitness, Why Pizza makes people happy, big knitting, meditation, mindful colouring in, Neck/shoulder massages (by a professional ex-student volunteer), Hot Chocolate and chill, board games, children’s games and the list goes on.
Some Student Comments about the day:
- “Thanks it was very fun!!! There were so many activities to choose from and I had a great time...."
- “I liked stress down day because it makes everyone's stress go down and do what you like to do”
