Congratulations to all students who competed at the SSWA Cross Country Carnival. Their effort and performance cannot be faulted, and I can truly say that our ACC Squad values of ‘Hardwork, Dedication & Ambition’ were exhibited by all students; training commitment has been exceptional and I am truly proud of all members of the Squad. Most students, if not all, attained personal best’s which is all we can ask for over a course that is difficult.
As a School we won two ‘State Age Group Classifications’ (U15 Boys, U16 Boys) today as well as our U13 Boys and Girls finishing 2nd in their respective age group. This bodes exceptionally well for the forthcoming ACC Carnival. We did not field our strongest squad and we will be significantly better in two weeks’ time with all runners categorized appropriately.
There were also notable performances from the following students who placed well in high quality fields:
Aiden Arthy 5th Place Boys U13
Sam Holroyd 6th Place Boys U16
Louie Oakes 10th Place Boys U16
Leola Hall 9th Place Girls U13
Abigail Graham 1st Place Girls U16
Each of these students will also be given the opportunity to represent WA at the upcoming National Cross Country Champions.
Thank you to the staff and students helpers who assisted in the preparation and organisation on the day.
A great effort by all members of the team and we look forward to continued success at the Associated Catholic Colleges Cross Country Carnival on Thursday the 30th May.
