On Wednesday 30th August the members of Snapshot Youth Theatre Company’s Extension Program held their annual One Act Festival in the new Drama Studio Theatre located in the lower floor of the Allan Shaw Centre.

The night was very well attended and consisted of three performances. The primary group performed a self-devised piece titled #Hashtag. It was a thought-provoking and moving story that looked at the effects of cyberbullying on Primary school students.

A Middle School group performed the hilarious comedy Snow White and the Dreadful Dwarfs. This uproarious comedy in which tough-as-nails punk Snow White joins a bikie gang and vies with her awful step-mother for the title of ‘Public Enemy Number One’ was a true testament to the huge array of talent within the company.

Our Senior actors comprised both past and present students and performed a self-devised piece titled Writer's Block. It’s been 383 years since William Shakespeare has written a play. This performance followed his journey back to the theatre to try and overcome his dreadful writer's block.

A huge thank you to Mrs Emma Leadon who directed our junior piece and also to Sophia Chila, our assistant director for all performances. Sophia started with Snapshot when she was in Year 4 and it is great to see her becoming a budding Director.

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN for our Term 4, Explicit Skills Program (ESP). This program will run in the Drama Room on a Thursday afternoon commencing second week on Term 4. The Snapshot Extension Program is open to all students in the community, not just Peter Moyes students.
