The Senior School Swimming Carnival was held on 18th February 2020 and it was a fantastic event for students, staff and parents. I was thrilled to observe the positive participation and team spirit shown by all students on the day. The introduction of House Leaders certainly added noise in the stands, and this is something that will continue to improve as the years progress. Congratulations go to Florey House who won their second consecutive House Shield.

Congratulations to all students for all their efforts on the day; it certainly was a fantastic display of swimming. Special recognition to the following Champion swimmers who, as you can see below have achieved this accolade on more than one occasion:
· Charlotte Ericksen (Year 10 Cuthbert) for her fourth consecutive Champion shield win.
· Kier Liddell (Year 10 Lingiari) for his fourth consecutive Champion shield win.
· Ellie Lyons (Year 11 Florey) for her fifth consecutive Champion shield win.
· Jay Solly (Year 11 Hollows) for his fifth consecutive Champion shield win.
Several events saw outstanding performances with some existing Senior School House Swimming records broken. Congratulations to Charlotte Ericksen, Cuthbert House on breaking four records which is a fantastic achievement is:
· 100m Freestyle, 1.01.70- Stood for 8 years previously.
· 50m Freestyle, 28.72- Stood for 8 years previously.
· 50m Backstroke, 32.22- Stood for 3 years previously.
· 50m Butterfly, 31.72- Stood for 8 years previously.
Overall, the Health and Physical Education Team were extremely happy with the event and I would like to thank students, staff and parents for your support on the day.
