I was delighted with the participation and team spirit shown by those students who attended the Senior School Swimming Carnival held on 20###sup/sup### February 2019. It was an excellent day for all and most notably Florey House under the direction of Mrs Barber, who won their first ever Swimming House Shield!

The Carnival format changed slightly this year with Championship status requiring students to swim in all five events. These Championship events are listed below:

  • 100m Freestyle
  • 50m Freestyle
  • 50m Backstroke
  • 50m Butterfly
  • 50m Breaststroke

There were also the two Novelty events and a relay race at the end of the Carnival Program for all year groups. The 25m participation events for freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke allowed those students who are not confident swimmers to get in the water and earn House Points.
