I was delighted with the participation and team spirit shown at the Senior School Swimming Carnival held on 13th February 2018. It was an excellent day for all and most notably Cuthbert House under the direction of Mr Fussell, who won their first House Shield in five years!
The Carnival format changed slightly this year with Championship status requiring students to swim in all five events. These Championship events are listed below:
- 100m Freestyle
- 50m Freestyle
- 50m Backstroke
- 50m Butterfly
- 50m Breaststroke
There were also the two Novelty events and a relay race at the end of the Carnival Program for all year groups. The 25m participation events for freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke allowed those students who are not confident swimmers to get in the water and earn House Points.

Record Breakers
It is a great honour to break a record at any level. To have your talents recognised is an achievement and must give a sense of pride, and therefore a special mention must be given to the following students.
