On Tuesday 14th February, the Senior School Swimming Carnival was held. It was an excellent event with very good participation on the day. Congratulations go to Durack House for winning the Senior Inter-House Championship Shield for the third year in a row.
The following swimmers are especially congratulated:
- Astha Sinha (Year 12 Lingiari) for her sixth successive age championship win (Year 7-12).
- Samuel Birch (Year 11 Lingiari) for her fifth consecutive age championship win.
- Isla Thompson (Year 10 Lingiari) for her fourth consecutive age championship win.
- Jamie Anderson (Year 10 Florey) for his second consecutive age championship win.
Congratulations to Isla Thomson (Lingiari) who broke the Year 10 Backstroke record with a time of 35.49. The previous record had stood since 2011.
The Year 11 Cuthbert Girls 4 x 50m Freestyle Relay team swam a record time of 2.22.20 beating the old record by over eight seconds. The previous record had stood since 2008. The team consisted of Georgia Lines, Kiara Henkel, Roxana Sheriff and Georgia Morgan.

The House Swimming Carnivals will now form the basis of selection at the Inter-School level. Swimmers selected from Years 7-12, will compete in the Associated and Catholics Colleges (ACC) Carnival.
