The Ball is a major event for our Year 12 students. On Friday 17th February at the Joondalup Resort the Peter Moyes Year 12 students dressed to impress and danced the night away. It was amazing to see the transformation from everyday student to stunning, incredible young adults who looked like movie stars on the red carpet.
Upon entrance Heads of House and Principals of the School greeted us. We were served mock-tail refreshments whilst we mingled, complimented and chatted to others, including previous students who came to help on our big night.
It was truly a night to remember, with great food being served and various tracks being played which brought many to the dance floor.
The venue was extremely extravagant with beautiful decorations, which were organised by both Ms. West and the Ball Committee. A big thank you to Chloe Longmuir and Nell-Marie Robbetze for all their additional work in creating the invitations and table placecards. The Hollywood theme was emphasised with a red and gold colour scheme. We had fantastic props including the Hollywood letters backdrop and the enormous Golden Oscars that framed the dance floor.
The 2017 Hollywood Ball proved to be a fantastic night and an experience I’m sure none of us will ever forget.
