On Tuesday 6th March 2018, all the students in Years 3-6 competed in the annual Primary School Swimming Carnival.
The Primary School students always amaze me with the level of support they provide for each other and this year was no exception. I was extremely pleased and proud to see so many of our students participating and giving things a go, even if they had never attempted some of the strokes over 50 metres before. I would like to congratulate all of our students on the positive attitude they showed towards meeting the challenges of the day.
I would like to say a huge thank you to all staff for assisting in the organisation of the event and also to the many parent volunteers who gave up their day to help out. A particular mention should go to those parents who put themselves forward to get into the pool to provide support during both the individual events and the novelty races, the day could not have run without them.
The overall Champion House was Florey. The results were as follows:
First place | Florey | 927 points |
Second place | Hollows | 897 points |
Third place | Durack | 763 points |
Fourth place | Lingiari | 723 points |
Fifth place | Cuthbert | 681 points |
Congratulations to the following students on their individual achievements:
