On Friday, 27th July 2018 myself and 9 other students had the privilege of attending the Pearce Young Leaders Forum. The forum acted as an opportunity for us to connect with other young leaders in our community and discuss very topical issues whilst gaining valuable advice and insight on being a good leader.
We also had the pleasure of hearing from two very influential figures in our society, those being our Federal Member for Pearce and Attorney General Christian Porter and West Australian boxing great Danny Green.
On the day we were greeted with the presence of other schools attending the forum as well as Christian Porter and Danny Green. We began by taking a number of photos and then proceeded to where the forum was being held at which point both Danny and Christian made us feel very welcome. Each gave an address with a short message of success and advice, inspiring hard work and dedication.
Following their address students were then given the opportunity to ask questions which covered a range of topics.
After our ‘Q&A’ students from all schools were then provided with lunch and a chance to mingle with other student leaders and ask further questions. An experience of which was greatly beneficial and valuable to all those who attended.
