23 schools competed at Mawson Park in Hillarys last Friday in the NIPSSA Cross-Country Carnival. The standard of competition is always very high and to be successful at this event requires a great deal of commitment and dedication. I have been extremely pleased and proud of just how well the students have done in preparing for this event. Ever since the Inter-House Cross-Country Carnival in April, students have been rising early on Mondays and Fridays to be put through their paces. Some outstanding individual and team efforts resulted in the Peter Moyes squad finishing 4th in Division A with our lowest points total to date. This is a superb achievement and the students should be extremely proud of their efforts. I would like to thank the staff and parents who came to cheer on the teams and assist on the day. A special thank you to Mrs Peacock and Mrs Curtis and to all the parents who joined in and assisted with the training.
