We are pleased to introduce you to our new School Chaplain who joined the School earlier this term. We asked him to share a little bit about himself with our School community:

Hello, my name is Jean-Pierre Schroeder.  I have recently joined the School Chaplaincy team. Born and bred in Cape Town, South Africa, I spent about a decade in the UK (Hampshire, Northern Ireland and Kent) before moving to Perth 5 years ago. Like Reverend Dave Deeney, I too am an Anglican Priest.

At present my main role on Mondays to Wednesdays in the School is to assist in the chapel services on Mondays (and one on a Friday morning), and teach on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. On Thursdays and Fridays I spend my days in the Primary School.  We are still navigated what is the best way to use me in the Primary School, however the idea is that I spend more time in their classrooms.

Before arriving at Peter Moyes I worked at St Marks Anglican Community School for 4 years and had the briefest of stints at Hale School.

I am very glad to part of the School community and look forward to meeting you all.
