This year with a new team of teachers leading each House and organising Inter-House activities, for the first time we have created a weekly Inter-House competition. The competition takes place every Friday during tutorial time. Rather than just “House Sport” the activities have been designed to offer students a variety of artistic, construction, dance, drama, team building and sporting choices.
The students have enthusiastically engaged in these activities and competed with a healthy but mature competitive team spirit. The activities have so far included;
- Survivor (team challenges based on the TV show)
- Indoor Soccer
- Billy cart making
- Mug and T-Shirt design competitions
- Theatre Sports
- Floorball
- Scurry-ball
- Inter-House Dance Competition
- Short-film festival.
- Board game challenge
Whilst nearly all students have given the new program the tick of approval, the recent Billy Cart making has been real highlight as well the Survivor competition from the photos below. A special thanks to Ms Harrison and Paige from the art department for all their hard work in providing some exciting art opportunities.
Stay tuned for an exciting Science challenge coming up in the next round of activities.
May the best house win!
