The Primary school participated in the Schools Tree Day 2018 on Friday 27 July, as a prelude to National Tree Day on Sunday 29 July. Grand Toyota Clarkson has sponsored this event to work with local communities to help protect, rejuvenate and enhance our environment.
The House Captains were invited to help support Schools Tree day 2018 by planting three donated ‘York’ Gum trees donated by Clarkson Toyota. They worked with Mr. Michael Hogan, one our Groundsman, to prepare the soil and plant the trees correctly. The House Captains also assisted the Pre-Primary children in planting six trays of vegetable seedlings. These were donated by Benara Nurseries and were planted in the sustainable vegetable garden located in the Early Years Primary Nature Playground.
As part of their reward in providing such excellent assistance, the House Captains each received a T-shirts and gardening gloves.
