The Primary School is not the same without everyone here, but we have been trying to make the most of our time together with the children of our essential workers.
Thank you to each and every one of you for the sacrifices you make daily to ensure the health and wellbeing of our community, we are eternally grateful to you.
Here’s a sneak peek at what we have been doing at school, in addition to the work the teachers have been setting for the children. We have been creating chalk drawings on the pathways; having sandcastle competitions; April Fools Day joke telling; painting rainbows; building cubbies and having lots of fun in our beautiful playgrounds.
I hope that we will all be able to reflect on the good things that took place, in spite of this pandemic, as a time when we were able to show empathy, kindness and gratitude to others; appreciate the simple things in life; enjoy family time together; learn to live with less; listen more carefully; delight in the small things, develop resilience and persistence; notice the beauty of nature and slow down to really appreciate living in our beautiful island home.
I would like to sincerely thank all of the parents and staff for supporting our wonderful students. Please stay home, stay safe and remember the little changes you are being asked to make at this time, will pass soon enough.
