On Tuesday 15th August, the Year 5 students walked to Fairport Vista in Mindarie to view Cooper’s Lime Kilns built in 1932. The students have been investigating in library how the kilns worked, the many dangers facing the workers there, and the economic and environmental impact the kilns had on the local area.
