Once again the School’s music students were part of the community ANZAC Dawn Service at the Quinns Rocks Bowling Club on Wednesday 25th April 2018. The service was very well attended by thousands of people from the local community
The Primary Choir joined over 80 singers from a number of Schools in the area to sing Amazing Grace, the New Zealand and Australian National Anthems, and The Spirit of the ANZACs.
The song Spirit of the ANZACs, was a new addition to the song list, led by the School’s Vocal Ensemble and our Muzomix band.
Our Head Boy, Arnav Sinha, and Head Girl, Chloe Saunders, also placed a wreath from the School at the memorial during the ceremony.
As always we had a fly over by the Australian Air Force, whilst this year we also appreciated a special Maori presence including a haka dance for the first time.
It was a memorable occasion for all involved and in attendance.
