On Thursday 11th May, the Year 9 students experienced a visit from Graham Hyman who talked to us about adolescence and why it is an important time in our lives. Graham engaged the students by telling funny jokes and putting on accents. He taught us that adolescence, is a pivotal time because we are developing into an adult and becoming more independent.

Graham explained why teenagers think their parents are weird which we could instantly understand, but he also told us that it is important to create strong relationships with your family and especially your parents. Graham helped the Year 9s realise not only the importance of adolescence, but that it is the most crucial time to make long-lasting relationships. It was a worthwhile presentation that many students found engaging and relevant.
