Congratulations to the School’s ACC Swimming Squad who won the ACC ‘C’ Division Swimming Carnival at HBF Arena on Monday 19th March 2018. Our swimmers were superb throughout the day and their improvement and ambition were clearly evident. They did themselves, their School and their coaches proud!

The performances of our swimmers were consistent across age groups and genders which is as evident by the following placings:
- First in the Overall Girls
- Second in the Overall Boys
- Senior Girls placed second
- Senior Boys placed third
- Junior Girls placed first
- Junior Boys placed second
As hoped, we won the ‘C’ Division Championship overall with some superb individual and notable relay team performances; every Medley Relay hit their target time, to within one second, and all were placed second overall! We are excited to gain promotion back to ‘B’ Division for 2019.
Our students performed to the best of their abilities, many attaining personal best times at the Carnival following dedicated training during Term 1. The team spirit and cohesiveness was clearly evident to see amongst the students which made the day a highly pleasurable experience for all.
One individual performance of note was the ACC Record achieved by Thomas Prowton (Year 7) in the U13 Boys Breaststroke. Thomas broke the record set in 2010 with a time of 38.15 seconds.
Our ACC Squad values of ’Dedication, Hard work, & Ambition’ were demonstrated by all students and although a number of students could be highlighted for their performances, individual students of note were:

- Charlotte Ericksen (U14 Girls) – Champion Girl
- Jay Solly (Junior Boys Capt. U15 Boys) – Second Overall
- Ellie Lyons (Junior Girls Capt. U15 Girls) – Third Overall
- Hannah Sivic (U16 Girls) – Champion Girl
- Ben Mills (U17 Boys) - Second Overall
- Isla Thompson (U17 Girls) - Champion Girl
- Keith Solly (Senior Boys Capt. OPEN Boys swimming up an age group) – Forth Overall
Congratulations to our outgoing Year 12 Seniors who have represented the School with vigour, enthusiasm and pride over their years at our School, including our outgoing Senior Captains Kiara Henkel and Sam Birch.
Thank you to Mr. Parkes and Mr. Fussell for their continuing and ongoing commitment to training the ACC Swimming Team without whom the success of the Squad would not be possible.
