On Wednesday 24th November, a group of nine students from the Primary Reach Academic Extension classes in Years 4, 5 and 6 represented the School at the annual Academic All Stars contest.
This year the contest was held at Alkimos Baptist College and we competed against Alkimos Baptist College, Quinns Baptist College and St James Anglican Community School.
The students tackled a range of different tasks, including engineering/construction; art/poetry; maths problem solving; geography and language. It was excellent to see how well our teams of multi-age students worked together throughout the morning.
It proved to be a highly contested affair, with the top two teams being separated by a single point after the eight activities. One of our teams (Josh Cronin, Rebecca Archer and Teagan Edwards) won the impressive trophy, but it was a close thing!
