It has been an adventurous start to the last quarter of the academic year with so much on offer for our students. The Year 9 students attended camp at Forest Edge in Waroona which was filled with adventurous activities; the option to sleep under canvas and to spend some quality down time mixing with friends and teachers. The lead up to exams is a busy time for the cohort as they revise and best prepare in mind and body in the coming weeks. The facilitation of several Mindful Meditation workshops is on offer for the Year 9 students with the intention of decreasing any angst during what can become a stressful time for many.
A group of Year 7 to 9 students continue with their Service-Learning visits at our local aged care facility Aegis Anchorage, spending quality time with residents and making valuable connections with elderly members within our local community. The term ahead will be filled with a variety of exciting events ranging from showcasing Drama and Dance performances, to the Middle School Christmas Music Concert, to hosting our 2020 Year 7 students in the upcoming Transition Day. The current Year 8 students will be vying for leadership positions as next year’s House Captains, when elections are held to determine the most well-suited candidates for each of the roles. We wish each and every student a positive and productive term to apply themselves in the remaining weeks with renewed energy, focus and motivation.
