Thank you to the students and their families, staff, alumni and special guests who attended the annual Art Exhibition opening on Friday 15th November. It was a wonderful evening with the P&F Twilight Market and Middle School Music Concert also being held on the same night.
The 2019 Art Exhibition was called “Little Sparks, Bright Lights”.
Our “Little Sparks” lit up the night again this year with their amazing artworks!
Pre-Primary displayed illustrations from fairy-tales.
Primary students in Year 1 made flower-pinch-pots and bird houses to name a few.
Year 2s made natural sculptures from found natural objects and printed animals using relief print methods.
Year 3s made man-eating-plants and sea-treasure boxes.
Year 4s worked on a collaborative project with Indonesian and created figures to represent refugees in a large scale boat sculpture. They also made theatre masks based on the story of “The Lion King”.
Year 5s exhibited their perspective drawings and room dioramas.
Year 6s made mythical creatures.
Year 7s worked on an architectural theme, drawing inspiration from a range of building styles throughout the world, while Year 8s developed clay figures representing themselves.
Year 10s exhibited numerous artworks reflecting their focus on the face and portraiture and investigations of natural forms.
Year 11s explored the themes of Identity and Difference, tackling issues related to gender.
Year 12s pursued the communication of their own personal ideas and studio practice within artworks developed for their WACE Practical Examinations.
